It pays off when you use a good part of your energy in the afternoon and evening, have a lot of poorly compensated surplus or suffer power cuts. If most of your consumption is during the day, it is usually better to add more solar power before adding a battery.
Yes. If the inverter is hybrid, it just needs connecting; if not, we install an AC-coupled battery without touching the rest of the installation.
Only if it is installed with a backup function and an essential circuits board. We define this with you in the initial assessment.
An installed 5 kWh LFP lithium battery usually costs between €3,500 and €5,000, and a 10 kWh one between €5,500 and €8,000, depending on the brand, the inverter and whether it includes backup.
The rule of thumb is to cover your night-time consumption: in an average Alicante home that is 5–10 usable kWh. Oversizing lengthens the payback, which is why we always start from your real hourly curve.
LFP batteries can handle between 6,000 and 10,000 cycles, which is more than 15 years of daily use while keeping around 80% of their capacity, with a typical manufacturer’s warranty of 10 years.
Yes. LFP chemistry contains no cobalt and is very thermally stable. It is installed with specific protection devices, adequate ventilation and in a location that complies with regulations, usually a garage or plant room.
No. You can keep exporting and being credited for the surplus you don’t store, and storage is an eligible item in the calls that include it.
